About
Realism drawings shaped by portraiture, fashion, music and subculture.
Lily Chandler is a self-taught realism artist based in Hampshire, drawing inspiration from portraiture, fashion, music and subculture.
With a process shaped by patience, detail and experimentation, Lily creates realistic graphite and charcoal drawings that explore personality, expression and the stories behind each subject.
Each piece can take around to 30 hours to complete, sometimes longer. Lily’s work is not simply about recreating an image; it is about studying the textures, tones and small details that give a subject its character.
From portraits to animals, footwear and personal studies, Lily’s work invites the viewer to slow down and appreciate the details that are often overlooked. Alongside graphite and charcoal, she continues to experiment with different media, developing a style shaped by realism, culture and individuality.
